Church of The Resurrection (Flagstaff, AZ) wrestled with the question, “What do we do if someone enters our congregation with evil intent?” The answer to this question was Dan Pawlicki. I met him (as a student) in his Krav Maga class, I was so impressed with his humility, I began training with him privately… Dan became my friend. We explored how to create, implement, and train a security team. There shortly, we had a security team implemented and engaged in training to protect our greatest assest, the loved ones in our community of faith that the Lord has placed in our care. Dan walked through our building and made recommendations on protecting our multi-level facility where children were for classes. Plans were implemented, and extensive training in situational awareness, conflict de-escalation, and appropriate responses to different threat levels; this included verbal diffusement, physical engagement, gun saftey, and extensive weapon drills (drawing a concealed weapon as a last resort). Because of the security team, midweek services and small groups started gathering in the evening, thus creating more service opportunities for our congregation and community. I recommend Dan Pawlicki’s strategic, tactical training to any congregation considering implementing a security team. Grace and peace,

taught on the first day, and then there could be an optional evening class.

He has received certifications for NREMT, Hazmat, AZPOST, Structure/Wild land Firefighting, and instructor for American Heart First-Aid and Basic Life Support.
